At Artisan Roast coffee is serious business. They roast their own beans. There is a large chalkboard wall detailing what drinks are comprised of. And, the baristas are often Kiwis, so you know they know coffee. If you like strong coffee, if you have a penchant for flat whites, this is the place for you.
The Glasgow outpost of Edinburgh micro chain, Artisan Roast is welcoming and warm. There is a certain buzz that vibrates through the space making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee rather than grabbing it to go. Although not a huge room, the space is divided up so that is feels bigger than it actually is, with nooks and crannies offering a range of seating to tuck yourself into. The food is also a treat; all made in house, with the bakery in the basement. This café takes great care and pride in all they produce, coffee or food, making it a must try.
